Labor Day Sales: Pre-game Scouting

Labor Day sales are upon us this weekend. It’s time to pregame it today. I’m taking a quick look at some pieces before I hit the stores. I almost always pre-shop online so I have a plan. It helps me focus (by the way, I’m laughing at how I used the word focus, like it’s that serious), dial down the impulse buys, and build a wardrobe that specifically works for me. Here’s what I have my eye on for the weekend:

Old Navy: up to 50 percent off everything

Notes: More graphic tees. Are you surprised? But they’re $6 this weekend! All camo everything for me. Love a gray skinny that’s not too light in tone. Want to try jogger pants (but am a little scared of the fit situation). Love the bucket bag trend carrying over from spring and summer, especially in the hunter green color for fall.
Express: 40 percent off entire store
Notes: Moto jackets are always in style. The ivory color softens the toughness of its structure. Another bucket bag! I want to look good in aviators so badly, especially ones with mirrored lenses (and for less than $20). Here’s the 200th pair I will try.
American Eagle: 25 percent off entire purchase

Light Wash Skinny Jean     Moto Vest

Notes: Love the interesting patchwork on the knee of these jeans and would love to pair the moto vest with a white or gray long-sleeved tee for fall. Even if these two pieces aren’t available in store, I may go back and check them out online.
I have two Cartwheel offers saved for 25 percent off clothing and 25 percent off shoes and handbags. I am loving this mini satchel. I’ve picked it up and looked at it multiple times. I may love it more than the bucket bag. It will be either or on the purse (bucket or satchel) or none at all. I am always drawn to bright pink

but am intrigued by the green for fall…
So there it is. If you hate shopping, 1. We can’t be friends. (Kidding! We can…I can just pick everything out for you…) 2. Pre-shop online! You can do it in the comfort of your own home and walk away if it’s getting too stressful. Find stores that just work for you. Old Navy is always my number one due to price point and fit. Then you take the guesswork out of sizing, too. Make your list on your phone, and then go pick up what you picked out. Not too challenging, right?
Have a great weekend hopefully spent with the people you love. Thanks for stopping by!
