Buffalo Check Remixing: Add Gray and Gold

I do not like to wear an outfit more than once. It’s a style rule I challenge myself to uphold. It is definitely a challenge when you stick to a shopping budget, but it can be done! Trust me. That being said, it’s been really tricky not to repeat outfits with this Old Navy buffalo check shirt as the star. I love the vibrant red and the size of this trendy pattern, so I’ve worn it a ton since I bought it this fall. Maybe you jumped on this trend, also.
Instead of pairing it with all black (as I usually do), I thought about adding my favorite color combination (gray and gold) to the outfit. And here we have the results!
To best achieve my unique style, I also like to blend tomboy and feminine detailing into my more accessorized outfits (as opposed to my “Quick! We have to go now!” outfits). Note the menswear detailing (lumberjack-ish shirt, oxford shoes) juxtaposed with the feminine and bold statement necklace, along with the layered look. I am normally so bad at layering, but I actually like how this layered look turned out.
