Styling Your Graphic Tee or Tank with She Is Clothing

I love a graphic tee. I love how versatile graphic tees can be to a wardrobe. But I can’t deny that a ton of graphic tees out on the market have some type of negative connotation. You’re forced into a whole that’s funny, but would I wear that? type of situation. At least I am. While these snarky tees do make me laugh, I tend to buy tees that reflect a positive message.

Enter She Is Clothing.

She Is Clothing’s mission statement is to share the truth with women that, with Jesus, they are strong. What an amazing truth, one that I need daily. Their tees and tanks feature the phrase “Elle Est Forte” (“She Is Strong” in French) and reference Proverbs 31:25: She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. (NLT)

As a working mom of two little ones, I struggle with feelings of inadequacy. I often wonder how I’m going to maintain a household, make sure I have quality time with my kids, cook healthy meals, grade all of the papers, etc. But I am not my own Savior, though I sometimes try to act as if I can solve all of my own problems if I just keep trying harder. I think as moms, a ton of us operate in a “fix it ourselves” mode because we think we’re doing what is best for our family.

I’m not pretending to have my faith completely figured out, but what I do know is looking to The Word keeps me grounded. It helps to keep me focused on joy and my true identity in Jesus and helps me drop the negative thoughts. I need to rely on my prayer life to help me break through these feelings of inadequacy. I need constant reminders that God has me where He wants me, and I need to walk in pursuit of that.

And bonus that one of my favorite verses to help me remember that I’m strong with Jesus comes on a cute graphic tee!

I’ve styled the She Is WHITE ELLE EST FORTE TEE here for a weekend look. I was initially not convinced about the sweater duster cardigan trend, but since I’ve seen it everywhere on Instagram and Pinterest, I decided to try one on at Target a few weeks ago. Now I’m convinced. My favorite piece to pair with a graphic tee, though, to give it a fancier feel is a good statement necklace, like the Stella and Dot Natalie Necklace. And what outfit would be complete without a touch of leopard print?

Another She Is piece I love is the GREY FLECKED ELLE EST FORTE TANK. When I work out, I often have to run errands after, especially since my gym is in the same shopping center as our go-to grocery store. I love tanks that can take me from a workout to errands without the obvious yeah-I-just-worked-out feel.

I repeated this look a few days ago on my trip to Target!

When I have errands, I will throw a flannel into my gym bag and slip it on after my workout. This pairing would also work the other way: If you have a casual lunch date with friends and want to work out right after, the pairing of the flannel plus the graphic workout tee will serve you well. Trust me!

I am so happy to share these pieces with you, as I love the message behind She Is clothing. And She Is clothing is offering $5 off your purchase when you use the code heather. Click HERE to start shopping…the code will be good for one week from today! Have a blessed day, friends!

Blogger’s note: I received a tee and tank for free in exchange for this blog post, though (as always) all opinions are my own.
